Bring Reading Futures to Your School

Schools & Districts

Reading Futures delivers small-group virtual intervention to children with indications of dyslexia. Using Stanford Professor Jason Yeatman’s “ROAR” assessments (Yeatman et al, 2021) and additional diagnostic measures, we identify students’ learning needs, then group them and assign appropriate intervention accordingly.

Our team of virtual interventionists delivers evidence-based intervention, using proven programs. They are retired teachers, teacher parents, and future teachers. Our mentors monitor, coach, and manage the interventionists to assure quality of delivery and outcomes.

In our Fall pilot, we will be using multi-component, strategy-based programs with evidence of effectiveness for “tier 3” struggling readers. Our technology platform is secure, engaging, and efficient, making it possible for us to track and adjust program pacing based on student progress.

  • Children with risk of dyslexia or who struggle with reading

    • Students in grades 1-3

    • Scoring between the 1st-18th percentile on a standardized reading assessment

    • Moderate or better English language proficiency.

    • Virtual small-group instruction, groups of 3 or 4 students per group

    • 50 minutes per day, four days a week

    • Children should be supervised by a paraprofessional or volunteer - can be in a corner of a classroom or in a computer lab.

    • Each child should have a computer with headphones.

    • Certified teachers, with experience leading reading interventions.

    • Trained in our programs and mentored and monitored for success.

    • Background checked.

    • We include community sessions with teachers and/or parents to explain the programs, describe our goals, and report on progress.

    • We will provide student-level reports and a program-level report at the conclusion of the pilot, describing results and opportunities for classroom and at-home support.

  • Please contact us to discuss program costs. Our model includes a per-session fee and per-student materials and assessments fees.
